Key Facts & Policies

Additional driver fee — 100 QAR per agreement per driver. The maximum number of additional drivers permitted per rental is three. Rental conditions apply to all additional drivers.

The Airport location is open from 7 am to 12 midnight Sat. to Thu. and closed on public holidays and Fridays.

After Hours reservations received during working hours are attended by a Rental Agent at any time of day. After hours delivery charge is QAR 100 per delivery at airport counter.

Out of hours returns should be arranged at prior notice at the time of rental pickup or by contacting the rental branch during branch operating hours. After hours collection at airport counter charge is QAR 100 per collection at airport counter.

Minimum rental age — 21 years. There is no young driver's surcharge.

Vehicles cannot be driven in any other country. Ferry crossings with the vehicle are not permitted.

Collision Damage Waiver limits the customers financial responsibility for loss or damage of the rental vehicle. The maximum excess that is payable in the event of one of these incidents ranges from 500.00 to 1000.00 QAR. The maximum excess will vary depending on the vehicle you are renting. Please ask at time of rental for further information on which excess applies. In the case of an accident a complete valid police report is mandatory and must be provided to location staff when reported.

Delivery and Collection is available on-request to customer location/residence at additional charge of QAR 200 within Doha city limits and QAR 400 outside Doha city limits (in excess of 25 km radius). A valid driving license, passport, credit card is required to be presented to our employee at the time of delivery and/or collection. Vehicles can be returned at any location within Qatar. No one-way fees apply.

As a customer, you can choose how to pay for fuel or EV recharging when returning the vehicle.
Fuel policy at non-airport locations:
You may refuel the vehicle to the same level as received at the time of hire.
If you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local rate, which is typically above the local fuel price.
A full tank of fuel or a fully charged EV is not guaranteed.

EV policy (all locations):
Electric charging facilities in Qatar are free. No fees are applicable for EVs returned at a lower charge than received. However, we do appreciate if you do recharge electric vehicles to a similar level as received at the time of hire.
Note: Local fuel rates may vary depending on the area in which you are hiring a vehicle. A full EV charge is considered above 80%.

All major debit and credit cards, issued by either American Express, Mastercard and Visa, are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter's name. Traveller's cheques, prepaid cards, cash and retail shop cards are not accepted as methods of payment. Digital cards (Apple Pay/Google Pay etc.), cash and debit cards can be used to settle any outstanding balances at the end of the hire. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the hire will be taken at the time of hire. The deposit is 2,000 QAR for all vehicle categories.

Roadside assistance is provided by the rental location. Roadside assistance is available 24-7 by calling the number displayed in the rental car windscreen sticker. This service is free of charge. Roadside Assistance includes mechanical assistance, towing, replacement car, lockouts, lost keys and pickups. This protection is subject to the terms and conditions of your rental contract and applicable laws.

All drivers must present a fully valid driving licence. Electronic or digital driving licences are not accepted. All drivers must have held their licence for at least 1 year. In addition, all foreign renters must present a valid passport. A valid credit card in the renter's name must be presented upon collection of the vehicle.
Local renters and holders of a Qatar Residence Visa must present a valid Qatari driving licence free of endorsements and penalties.
If the driving licence is written in a language and characters different from those of the country of hire, an International Driving Permit is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines.
Renters with licences from countries that are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation. Customers can drive in the country of hire using their driving licence from their country of origin for up to 6 months. If staying in the country longer, customers are required to obtain a Qatari driving licence.

Comprehensive insurance coverage provided on all vehicles with the following limits of maximum liability of the insurance carrier:
1.       Own Damage: up to the insured value less the legal depreciation OR the market value whichever is the lesser at the accident date.
2.       Third Party property damage: unlimited.
3.       Third party bodily injury and/or death: unlimited up to the Court Decision.
4.       Personal accident to passengers or drivers: up to QAR 200,000 per person as per the PAB scale benefits defined.
5.       Towage charges: up to QAR 350 per accident for the insured vehicle.

ALL ABOVE are subject to accident occurring while the insured motor vehicle is being driven on paved streets or traffic intended roads within the state of Qatar as a result of:
-          Collision or overturning
-          Fire occasioned by self-ignition or lightning
-          Theft or attempted theft or burglary
-          Malicious acts of other
-          Fall or dispersal of objects
The normal insurance exclusions apply for accidents caused by – driving through a red traffic light/disobeying manual instructions of the police, driving under the influence of any substance, driving without valid driving licence, self induced accidents/attempted suicide and similar exclusions to insurance claims.
